Claude Rudolph Saldanha (88), husband of Benedicta (nee Rodrigues Prabhu) of Rapid City, South Dakota, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017.

Claude was the son of the late Aloysius & the late Millie (nee Fernandes) Saldanha, originally from “Shelter”, Bendore, Mangalore.

Brother of the late Silvin Francis of Mangalore; the late Noreen Seraphin of Mangalore; the late Rev Dr Cecil John SJ, St Joseph's College, Bangalore; and Stanislaus Gregory of Bandra, Mumbai / Sydney, Australia.

Funeral Details:

Viewing will be on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 9.00 am - 10.00 am at Saint Therese the Little Flower Catholic Church, 532 Adams St, Rapid City, SD 57701 Phone: (605) 342-1556. Rosary will be at 9.30 am.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am at Saint Therese the Little Flower Catholic Church, 532 Adams St. followed by Interment - Pine Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4301 Tower Road, Rapid City, SD 57701.

Dearest Aunty Benny and all extended family members: Please accept our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies on Uncle Claude's passing away.

He was so loving, so energetic and that his passing away gave us a real shock. I met Uncle Claude in 1978 for the first time in Bombay. From there on our friendship grew and we had great times, spending time together in the US, going to various places like Mount Rushmore, Devils Tower, Yellowstone National Park, Bad Lands in South Dakota and famous caves in the US to name a few.

Both of you were great hosts when fifteen (15) of us crashed in at your place in Rapid City during our vacation in July 1993.

We cherish all the good old memories. We will miss you Uncle Claude. You are always in our prayers.

Aunty Benny: All of us feel the great loss. We will pray for you and also for your early recovery and hope you will get most of your lost memory back.

MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE.
