I am truly saddened by the loss of my dear Mary Bai. Ironically, I was traveling to India to see her when I came to know of her passing. On this sorrowful occasion my heartfelt sympathies and support are with you all. I can still vividly remember our childhood days growing up in Karkala and other surrounding places when Ann was working as a forester. Mary Bai was always there to give us advice when we needed it. While it hurts to be left behind, I am sure Mary Bai is safe and at peace in hands of God. I would like you to know Mary Bai will always be very close to my heart and I have included all of you in my prayers. I hope God will give all of us the strength to sustain this sorrowful moment.
