Survey : Despite hurdles, people re-affirm support for Modi’s moves

Special correspondent

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi

Agra, Nov 21:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressed a huge rally here on Sunday November 20. Although one expected that various problems the people have been facing on account of demonetization move of the PM including the need to spend several hours in the queues would have adversely affected his charisma, the huge gathering proved that Modi's sway over the populace of Uttar Pradesh stays. The people took part in the rally with enthusiasm, and were seen to be extending support to all the measures and important decisions undertaken by the Modi government. The mammoth presence of people came as a reassurance for the BJP about its bright chances in the assembly election.

Modi's oratorical skills, his assurance to drive away black money and work for the welfare and progress of the country, and his wry barbs at his opponents received enthusiastic support of the audience, mostly made of youngsters, who frequently erupted in thunderous applause during his address.

Many who were interviewed by the media on this occasion seemed to have wholeheartedly welcomed Modi's initiative to tackle black money. The people in general were found to be unmindful of small trouble they had to go through to make big gains for the country as a whole. A lady from the city said that those who had accumulated black money were the ones who faced the heat of this action by the PM. Some homemakers who took part in the rally said they have no qualms about standing in queues to exchange old notes, as this small sacrifice they believe, would benefit the country in a big way. Another lady from a nearby village vowed that this measure will begin to bear fruits after some time, and that those who are criticizing the PM's move, will begin to appreciate him then.

Another youth from Agra, agreed he was neither a fan nor a follower of the PM, but that he had come to hear what the PM wanted to say. He said he has come to appreciate the resolve and determination shown by Modi in tackling huge problems which no other politician has done.

"This is the death-knell for hoarders of black money. The opposition was caught unawares by this move. Lets see what they will do to win elections," remarked a middle-aged resident of Fatehpur Sikri. A college student said that she backs demonetization move to the hilt irrespective of opposition to it from various quarters. She strongly felt that Modi is serving the national interest with his moves.

In general, the rally went to prove that people in general and young people in particular have been giving thrust to Modi's initiatives in a big way. In their opinion, there appears to be an air that is dispelling the gloomy past and paving way for a bright future, and there is an emerging hope that PM can bring a change in the country for the better.

We are not against the scheme, but we oppose the way it is implemented.... Are you sure that Political parties like BJP, CONG, SP, BSP and businessmen like Ambanis, Adanis, Ramdevs did not get any hint /tip/ benefit before declaring the scheme.. All of them have arranged themselves, after getting the tip...only the small fishes are swimming in the lake now.. Can u tell why the Beef exporter is not taking action against Vadra, as it was promised in election rallys.....I will accept your proposal, if u take an oath before god/temple, that no partiality is shown to ANY ONE PERSON, ANY ONE PERSON while implementing the scheme ...

India economy produces nearly $2 trillion in value (GDP) per year. Imagine this to be the income of the whole country. If you divide that by 365, we can value about about $5 billion per day. Multiply that by rupee conversion and you get a value of about Rs. 33000 crores [Rs. 330 billion]. That is a good starting figure.

We divided by 365, although the value generated on working days is likely more. Thus, you need to adjust upward for that. Then add the expenses from extra police needed to manage peace and all the destruction to property caused by violence. You could also add the value of all perishables that were lost due to the trucks not working. Then add the notional loss in India's image from a general strike. Add all the productivity loss from planning for the strike. This might come to about Rs. 50,000 crores.

    People re-affirm support for
Modi's demonetisation moves are Modi bhakt.

Modi has made 86% of currency vanish from the circulation and created 'currency feminine'.Since Nov 8 no business establishment has made profit due to demonetisation running in Billions in losses.

Paid media, paid survey will never project how many citizens died in line.Only those shouting slogans in favor of Modi and scripts are projected.

Morarji Desai did demonetization of 1,000 Rupee notes in 1978 and all felt that it was very good and later he lost. Indira Ghandi slammed Emergency and everybody supported it and thought it will clean up corruption and the Indira Gandhi lost. Just demonetization is not the solution, the Government of India has to take a hoards of actions on election funding, builders, real estate corporates and many more.

It's Not been Planned Well ( Exceptions for Industrialists and Close Friends of BJP )...
Do anyone Think, it's been imposed All over India, and Most of Bank they don't even have INTERNET, and Not Even d One...
If it's planned well then How 2,000/- and 4,000/- Limit Extended to 2,500/- and 4,500/-...
As in News now, Farmers Can Buy Crop and Seed by Using Old Notes...
If it's Planned well, how Many of Hospitals Still not Accepting Old Notes ???
If it's Planned well, then why there is Every Day Additional Clause for Old Notes ???
Even a Marriage in which only Few people have been Invited cannot be Fixed within a Week Time, How Our MODIJI thought it's Surgical Strike for 1.25 Billion People ???
Why they Didn't Not Deployed Additional Staffs to Banks, if Number of Customers going to be Increased day by Day ???
And I saw Many BHAKTS Advising to Use Online Transactions, how It's Possible for Un-Educated People, Can't be There Fraud ???
Now From Big Industrialists Many Banks are not having Money and About to Shut Down, so Our Modiji Started this to Help them, Like All Transactions are Made by E-COMMERCE are Charged with Fees...
It's a FAILED Step from BJP..

fact sheet & thought for the day !

    1.
as per govt stats 23% of India's population is below poverty line, earning less than Rs. 73 per day (27000 per annum) , therefore no question of spending more than 4000 a week which is the current cash withdrawal limit imposed by the govt

    2.
balance 77% ie 92 Cr people are above poverty line

    3.
of which only 2.87cr indians file income tax return

    4.
it means balance 89 Cr people are above poverty line but below basic tax exemption limit of 2.5 lacs per annum

    5.
why is a person having income less than 2.5lacs per annum (4800per week) want to spend more than 4000 in cash per week ??

    6.
based on above facts why is there a hue and cry by certain sections that the 4000 per week cash limit is inadequate ??

You must be the Finance Minister of India replacing Arun Jaitly. He has not yet given such an itemized statements like you did about the poverty level. It is true that a great number of people are not paying any income tax. But this action to catch them was not the proper action which will be giving a big blow to the economy. See the cars sales ped 30%, and how that will be affecting thousands of people in India associated with the automobile industry? Does it make the economy grow and decline?

I have been saying it since Note Ban..Finally, Readers who oppose Note Ban will have to clap for Modi..If you still oppose and long queue at banks,I ask you simple question..

Why didn't you oppose when people stood in queue at..

    1,Ration card

    2.Aadhar Card

    3.Govt Hospitals

    4.Temples/Churches/Mosques

5.Cinema Halls (for Kabali film, people woke up at 2 am to stand in queue for 8 AM show)

    6.Waiting for Minister (office,rally,funcition)

No problem for you..You stand in Q or wait..No comment..You have been doing it since Independence.but you can't wait for a Country's security and safety for 3 hours..Fortunately, 75% people still with India..They are ready to face whatever problem comes for coutnry's sake..

No one is bothered about the hardships...we support the scheme . but the question of fairness and sincerity.. Can you stand in front of temple and say that this scheme is fairly uted without telling the political leaders and businessmen ....That is all we wanted to know.....We are not hearing any protests from Lallu, mulayam, Mayawati, Amma, Sonia , rahul, Vadra etc.... We are not seeing any action from the 56' chest against Maa, beta and damad... Can u tell how much money was remitted out of India after the beef exporter came to power ...

    Jaimini,
Most fortunate.neither The neccesity has arisen for you, nor have you experienced it. My legs are paining when I find people standing in the Q.I have rendered service in the bank from the day this chaos has started. I have heard peoples pain. Not found a single soul with black or unaccounted money standing in the Q.The innocents are punished for which heavy price has to be paid. The black money is well taken care before declaring demonetisation. Writing off Crores of debt and spending lavishly for the big wedding is the real black money. Do sympathise for your fellow citzens.

I was reading an article the other day which exposes such fake surveys.

The sample size of the survey is 800-1000 odd people based in urban areas or large cities and mostly these educated people are supporters of right-wing parties.

It appears that feku is living in a world of illusion by relying on such distorted surveys.

I bet, if you do the same survery, you can understand real results.
Yes, longrun this would yield fentastic results. But what about short term? what about people do died because of poor ution of this plan?
I wish we had the election now. Then current government would have realized what people felt.
Yes, AAP is overreacting on the whole issue. But, certain issues raised by them cant be overlooked.
