Daijiworld Media Network - Karkala

Karkala, Dec 22: Once again, the readers of daijiworld.com spread across the world have made an immense humanitarian gesture by responding in large numbers to the appeal posted earlier this month, of two young siblings Prajwal (22) and Pratheeksha (20).

Children of Jyothi and Shekhar Salian from Nitte here, Prajwal and Pratheeksha suffer from physical disability. With Shekhar leaving his job to look after the children full-time, their only source of income is mother Jyothi Salian, who rolls beedis for a living. Despite all the odds, the brave youngsters pursued their education in a government school and a PU college, and are being tutored by private lecturers.

The appeal published on daijiworld.com on November 22 received an overwhelming response from generous readers. The heart-touching story of the two siblings was shared in social media. Hundreds of the readers shared the link online to reach out many more. The result - In less than a month, over Rs 9 lac got accumulated in Jyothi’s account.

Shekhar Salian came to Daijiworld office recently to express gratitude and said that his family is extremely elated by the overwhelming response the appeal generated. He thanked all the readers of daijiworld, who have extended their wholehearted support to the cause. He also thanked Daijiworld.

Most of the donors even contacted Shekhar Salian personally to know the condition of his children and transferred generous amounts to their account. Shekhar gets many calls even now. "I never thought that my children would get such a huge response from the public. I am extremely grateful to all the readers of daijiworld."

With the hope of providing better treatment now that there is enough to meet the expenses, the parents went to Bengaluru to consult orthopedic surgeon, as per the advice of Dr Jayashri.

The siblings look forward to pursuing higher education and at the same time, the parents are eager to provide better treatment and make them independent. Now, with the generous contribution, moral support and prayers from readers, the family is hope of accessing advanced medical care and leading a better life.

We at Daijiworld thank our readers for once again joining hands to help a needy family. Let us together make this world better place.

When we pray ardently for a genuine cause, God bless us in abundance. When we help to those hapless and needy people, we are repaid in multiple. When we are greedy, we are like demonetised 500 & 1000 Rupee useless Notes.Let us pray to God Almighty to grant these siblings with self sustained life and to their parents strength and energy to look after them and finally, kudos to those kind hearted donors!
