German plane lands in Kuwait after bomb threat


Kuwait City, Jan 15 (IANS): A bomb threat on Sunday forced a Germany-bound passenger flight from Oman to land in Kuwait.

At least 299 passengers were evacuated as the Eurowings flight, from Salalah to Cologne, was diverted here, Xinhua news agency quoted a company statement as saying.

The flight was evacuated "for security reasons and in consultation with the relevant authorities", it said.
