Mangaluru: Malani introduces fresh breeze of romance through iPhone

Mangaluru, Feb 15: It goes without saying that when it comes to promoting his films, Sandeep Malani is at his best and what with presenting and introducing new faces in a unique way. Malani chose Valentine's Day, to introduce the romantic couple of his latest iphone film, Maa – Yeh Cinemaa Hai.

As the film has about 100 characters in a 3 hour long web series/feature film, Malani has chosen the 12 characters (six couples) to introduce this romantic season.

The characters of the ‘cinemaa’ are Varun, Sonam, Sidharth, Alia, Ranveer, Deepika, Aditya, Shradha, Salman, Sonali, Mahesh and Namrata. He clearly states that although the names are those of the film stars, the characters they play have nothing to do with them, as they do not get tagged with their respective family names.

Elaborating more on the characters, Malani says that each and every character has a profession in the film and they carry it to perfection with that of their performance too. Basically a family film filled with sentiment, happiness, emotion, laughter, sorrow, it also has room for clean and sweet romance with songs to accompany it.

While Varun (Ranjeet Jha) plays a Dubai return sales executive, his romantic pair Sonam (Shubha Raksha) plays a fashion designer. Sidharth (Bharath Lakshmikanth) plays an office admin who loves to also party. His love interest Alia (Sanjukta Ghosh) owns a saloon and works as a hair dresser for film actresses. Ranveer (Mahendra Pandey) works as a software engineer and his beloved Deepika (Sharanya Jit Kaur) is a dancer by profession. While Aditya (Akash Hora) owns a restaurant, his sweetheart Shradha (Shona Chabra) is an upcoming actress and Salman (Vishal Digani) is a rockstar while his better half Sonali (Reshma Malani) works for an NGO for orphan children. Lastly, Mahesh (Mahesh Dulam) works for an IT company and his wife Namrata (Anitha Dulam) is a teacher.

The film also stars Meena Malani, Deepali Khambadkone, Sarojini Shetty, Vinny Fernandes, Jagruti Mehta, Shivam Kataria, Velu Murugan, Varsha Acharya, Juliet Aranha, Gita Suvarna, Cherrie Ash, Anant Joshi, Vivek Punjabi, Vivek Mishra, Saiheel Rai, Kkewal Vyas, Prayas Singh, Abram Pandey and Silver Malani amongst a whole lot of others.

Music is by Karthik Venkatesh, Prajoth Dsa, Nitin Acharya, Ameya Naik. The film is jointly produced by Ranjeet Jha, Santosh Chawla, Edward Dsouza and Malani. Presented by Malani Talkies, The Studio Agency, RKJ Productions. It has been edited by Santosh Chawla with script, screenplay, dialogues, camera and direction by Sandeep Malani.

The film, now in its post production stage will be ready for an April release.
