Kundapur, Feb 20: Floodlit ‘Fortune Cup-2017’ was held at Vakwady on Saturday February 18 which was organised by Vakwady Friends at the panchayat maidan.

Praveen Kumar Shetty, the managing director of Fortune Group Dubai, inaugurated the event.


“Sports should unite people. It should never disrupt peace in society. In order to achieve this, players should play the game with true spirit of the sport. Name of Vakwady should shine everywhere in the field of sports. We should all live with peace and harmony. Sports should contribute immensely for this.” Praveen Kumar Shetty said in his speech.

Legislator Halady Srinivas Shetty, entrepreneur V K Mohan, BJP Yuva Morcha president Satish Poojary and Kedoor grama panchayat president Sampath Kumar Shetty were present in the stage programme. Vakwady grama panchayat president Raviraj Shetty presided over. Mahesh Vakwady welcomed and Jagadish Acharya proposed vote of thanks.
