Mangaluru: St Aloysius School felicitates NCC cadet Nishel D’almeida

Mangaluru, Feb 23: The 137-year old St Aloysius School, Kodialbail witnessed a great moment at the grand felicitation of its 9th standard student, Nishel Flora D’Almeida on Thursday, February 23.

Nishel was selected for the Republic Day camp, as the Best Cadet Junior Wing Air Force. She was selected for the All India Cultural Team, Yakshagana, Dance form, to perform in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.















The Rector and President of St Aloysius Institutions Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ, was present to grace the felicitation. In his presidential address, he said, "The star of the day, Nishel is the pride of our institution. Her hardwork and commitment has borne fruit today.

Walter D’Mello, KES, DDPI, Mangaluru was the chief guest at the occassion. Walter in his address praised Nishel for striving towards making her dream a reality with enthusiasm. He congratulated Nishel’s parents for being her backbone and supporting her constantly.

Nishel, the champion of St Aloysius School, in her spirited inspirational talk expressed her gratitude to her parents, teachers, NCC officers and all those who encouraged her with great confidence in her. She expressed no worry about her future because NCC trained her and is moulding her towards becoming a very disciplined person, obedience to authority without disrespecting them and instilling a great sense of time.

The grand felicitation was a great source of inspiration to all the students present in the school.
