Golfer Sodhi qualifies for National finals


Jaipur, Feb 26 (IANS): Golfer Tejinder Singh Sodhi qualified for the National finals with a net score of 70.8 at the 17th annual Mercedes Trophy golf tournament here on Sunday.

He will now be playing the National finals scheduled in the Oxford Golf Resort at Pune from March 15-17.

The best gross winner for the day was Siddharth Sharma with a gross score of 74. 

Among other golfers, Sahil Sharma won the Ballantine's Long Drive Challenge on the ninth hole with a mammoth drive of 290 yards. 

Three winners from the National finals will further progress to the Mercedes Trophy World finals in Germany in September to compete against winners from all over the world.
