Mumbai, Mar 6: Sanjeevini Social Welfare Trust and Yakshaseve Mumbai jointly organized state level day and night cricket tournament under floodlights at Air India Sports Club auditorium, Santa Cruz, Kalina on Sunday March 5. Local MLA Sanjay G Potnis lit the traditional lamp, cracked a quince on the cricket pitch, cut the ribbon, batted and inaugurated the tournament.

Bunts Sangha, Mumbai president Prabhakar L Shetty, chief guest released pigeons, picked the toss and set the games into motion. Guests of honour, Chandrahas Guruswamy Innanje, local corporator Shagun Nayak, Vidyadayini Sabha president J M Kotian, social worker Sana Khureshi, Heggade Seva Sangha president Vijaya B Bhandary, executive president Sanjiva P Hegde, Kannada association Ghodbander road president Vikramananda Shetty, entrepreneur Harish Salian Ghodbunder, Shekhar Gowda Vakola and others were present.

MLA Pothnis, Prabhakar Shetty, Shagun Nayak, Sana Khureshi and Chandrahas Innanje spoke and conveyed their best wishes. Yuvaraj Shetty Heranje, chief organizer of the programme welcomed everyone. Sanjeevini Social Welfare Trust, Bengaluru president Yogish Hegde, Mumbai president Udaya Koteshwara, Pavan Rao Kaleena, Venugopal Shetty Ira, Lokesh Poojary and S Dayanand presented flowers to the guests and honored them. KBS Mohammed Gazali gave the keynote address, introduced the guests and compered the programme. Sanjeevini Trust Mumbai secretary Sandeep Hegde proposed the vote of thanks.
