Mumbai: Bantara Sangha women's wing celebrates World Women's Day

Mumbai, Mar 9: The women's wing of Bantara Sangha Mumbai celebrated World Women's Day at Radhabai T Bhandary auditorium here on Wednesday afternoon March 7. The programme was held under the leadership of women's wing executive president Lata Jayarama Shetty and presided over by association president Prabhaker L Shetty.

Chief guest Grace Pinto, managing director of Rayan International educational group of institutes lit the traditional lamp and inaugurated the programme. Airport terminals senior official Suchita Prabhaker L Shetty and Al Cargo Logistics Limited director Arathi Shashikiran Shetty were the guests of honour.

Former executive presidents of the division, Lata P Bhandary, Asha M Hegde, association office bearers vice president Padmanabha S Payyade, chief secretary Ulthooru Mohandas Shetty, treasurer CA I R Shetty, joint secretary Kishore Kumar Shetty Kuthyar, joint treasurer Mahesh S Shetty, M D Shetty, World Bunts Federation vice president Aikala Harish Shetty, heads of several local committees, office bearers, members and heads of local Bunts organizations were present.

Women's wing honorary treasurer Asha S Shetty, joint secretary Asha S Shetty, joint treasurer Prashanti Shetty were present on the dais. Saroja S Shetty sang a prayer. Women's wing executive president Lata Jayarama Shetty welcomed everyone, gave the keynote address, presented flower bouquet to the guests and honored them. Deputy executive president Mamatha M Shetty read the list of past and present office bearers and trustees. Asha Sudheer Shetty, Mamatha Shetty and Pramila S Shetty introduced the guests. Asha Santhosh Shetty introduced the felicitated. Suchitra S Shetty and Dr Poornima S Shetty compered the programme. Honorary secretary Kavita R Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.

Members of women's wing, local committees, youth wing, Bombay Bunts Association, Thane Bunts and Mulund Bunts presented cultural programme along with dances. Shobha Sringar Jewellers arranged an exhibition of gold jewellery on the occasion.
