Mangaluru, Mar 16: The regional transport office here has been continuing with its campaign against illegally run buses. On Wednesday, March 15, three private buses were confiscated by the officials of the regional transport office here. It is learnt that two of these buses were operating without paying taxes.
The officials, acting in association with traffic police, had taken into custody five private buses on Tuesday. Deputy commissioner of transport and senior regional transport officer here, R Varnekar, said that a total of eight buses have been taken into custody during the operations conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday.
