Mangaluru: Muhurat held for Sudhakar Bannanje's Tulu movie 'Gant Kalver'

Mangaluru, Mar 30: Muhurat for Tulu movie, 'Gant Kalver' being produced under the banner of Snehakrupa Movies, which will be directed by Sudhakar Bannanje, was held at Lord Manjunatheshwara temple, Kadri here.

Former state minister, Krishna J Palemar, switched on the camera. Dr Sayidatta Raghunath Guruji delivered benedictory address.

Chief whip of the ruling party in legislative council, Ivan D'Souza, former city mayor, Shashidhar Hegde, city corporator, Ashok D K, well known director and composer, Dr Richard Castelino, Vijay Kumar Kodiyalbail, Navin Padil, and city corporator, M Ganesh Mannagudde, took part in the programme as chief guests.

Managing trustee of Goddess Durgaparameshwari temple, Aila, Kodibail Narayan Hegde, and Gangadhar Birti of Birti Credit Cooperative Society here were present.

The cast of the movie include Navin D Padil, Vijesh Shetty, Smitha Suvarna, Arvind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjur, Sundar Rai Mandara, Karkala Shekhar Bhandary, Umesh Mijar, Sandeep Shetty Manibettu, V K Prashant Ellampalli, Girish Shetty Kateel, Yadav Mannagudde, Shekhar Pangala, Suresh U P, Sandeep, Vasant Muniyal, Disha J Putran, Mytri Bhat, Rajaram Shetty Uppal, Nagesh D Shetty Moodbidri, Sudhir Kottary, Pradeep Alva Kadri, Prajwal Pandeshwar, Surendra Bantwal, Shashi Bellayaru, Shylesh Kotian, Claudy D'Mello, Master Preran, Master Himpan Padmanabh, Brijesh and others. Shankar will be the cinematographer while Harshavardhan will compose music. Thamma Laxmana will be in charge of art, V K Prashant and Ramdas Sasihitlu will be assistant directors, while K Girish Kumar will be in charge of editing work. Satish Brahmavar will be production manager, Karkala Shekhar Bhandary will be the executive producer, with Rajaram Shetty Uppala, Nagesh D Shetty Moodbidri, Kriti R Shetty and Dr Vishal Nayak being assistant producers. Sudhakar Bannanje will also provide story, script and dialogues besides direction.

Bannanje, who has taken responsibility to provide story, script, literature, dialogues and direction for this movie, plans to complete shooting for the movie, 'Gant Kalver' in about 50 days time in three phases.

    Sudhakar Bannanje was a personal friend of mine...we spent many days together in 1980s...at that time he brought out a Kannada Weekly called 'Bayalu'...UR Sabhapathy was editing another Kannada weekly called 'Akshara'...unfortunately both stopped publications...

    I can confidently say Sudhakar is a very talented and hard working person and I wish him well...
