Mangaluru: Inter-collegiate management fest AGON held at Alva’s Institute

Mangaluru, Mar 31: A one-day inter-collegiate management fest ‘AGON 2017’ organized by the MBA department of Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology, Mijar, was inaugurated at the college seminar hall on Friday March 31.

The chief guest at the inaugural, Lal Goel, founder, Pandit’s Resorts, Moodbidri congratulated the college management for organizing the mega event, which comprised of participants from prominent colleges in the region. He highlighted the fact that commitment and hard work are the ingredients of a successful career. He stressed that young graduates must identify their unique points and work toward advancing their skills.

The function was presided over by Dr Peter Fernandes, principal, Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology, Mijar. In his presidential remark, Dr Fernandes stated that more and more fests like AGON are necessary to boost the confidence of students. If MBAs need to be successful, they must be distinct from others, stated the principal.

Air vice marshall professor Ramesh Karnik was the guest of honour. He encouraged students to be bold and explore wide horizons and learn from their experiences. He emphasised that the gap between industry and academia be bridged. Dean MBA- professor Ramakrishna Chadaga gave the introductory remarks.

Following the formal programme, various events and games were organized to test the managerial skills of the participants.
