Moodbidri, Apr 17: A complaint has been filed against Shabbir Khan (38) living near the church in Nellikar gram panchayat limits, alleging that he had sexually harassed an eight-year-old daughter of his brother. The complaint was filed on Sunday, April 16.
The girl's mother stated that she was in the hospital when her husband's brother took away her daughter to his home located nearby. On that occasion, he sexually harassed her, she alleged. "Although my daughter had told me about this incident, as I did not properly assimilate what she said, there has been a delay in filing this complaint. I request you to arrest the accused and take action against him as per law," she said in the complaint.
Local police inspector, Ramachandra Nayak, and sub-inspector, Dejappa, have registered the case and commenced investigation.
