Tumakuru: MLA Lobo pays repects to Swami Shivakumar

Tumakuru, Apr 19: Member of Legislative Assembly of Mangaluru South constituency, J R Lobo visited the Siddaganga Math in Tumakuru on Wednesday, April 19.

The MLA paid his respects to the seer of the temple, the 110-year-old Swami Shivakumar, who celebrated his birthday recently.

The senior pontiff of the Math is known for his educational initiatives for children, and his humanitarian work.

The seer has been visited by prominent political personalities earlier on, like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former President of India Late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. He has been the recipient of the Karnataka Ratna award by the state, and the Padma Bhushan award by the central government.
