Mangaluru: Kadaba, Dharmasthala, areas in inland, receive rainfall

Mangaluru, Apr 22: The entire coast experienced cloudy and humid weather on Friday April 21 and people suffered due to sweltering heat. Kadaba, Alankaru and Bellare in Puttur taluk, and also Beltangady and Dharmasthala received some rain on Friday evening.

Drizzle was experienced in places like Ujire, Madanthyar, Venoor etc. Some rural areas in Karkala taluk also received light drizzle.

Some rainfall occurred in places like Nanjangud, Mysuru, Nelamgala and Mandya where average rainfall hovered around 3 cm. Ponnampet in Kodagu and Krishnaraja Pet in Mandya district received 2 cm of rain each with a few places in Kodagu getting one cm rain.

The meteorological department has predicted dry weather to continue in the coast and northern hinterlands while a couple of places in south inland may get some rainfall.
