Patton Oswalt pens tribute to late wife

Los Angeles, Apr 22 (IANS): Comedian Patton Oswalt has paid a tribute to his late wife and writer Michelle McNamara, who passed away in 2016.

Oswalt took to Facebook on Friday to talk about how his life has changed since she died on April 21 last year, reports variety.com.

McNamara passed away due to bad health at the age of 46.

The lengthy Facebook post mentions Oswalt and McNamara's 8-year-old daughter, Alice, and how Oswalt's life continues to revolve around her. He wrote that he has no intention to turn the anniversary of her death into "any sort of dark ritual or painful memorial."

"I was inviting more darkness," he wrote.

He also shared three photographs, showing a wooden memory box that he commissioned for the pair when they moved into their first apartment as boyfriend-girlfriend and some of the objects stowed inside, as well as a smiling image of the pair taken a month after they started dating.

"Michelle brought me nothing but happiness. You can see it in our faces," Oswalt wrote.
