BJP MP's comments on Modi's marriage go viral

Bhopal, Apr 23 (IANS) : A BJP MP's purported comments that Prime Minister Narendra Modi got "married but didn't set up his household" was released on Saturday and has gone viral over social media.

The comments by Jyoti Dhurve, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lawmaker from Madhya Pradesh's Betul (ST) constituency, is said to have come while discussing construction of a building for a proposed Kendriya Vidyalaya in Betul district. She could not be contacted to confirm or deny it.

As per the audio clip, a local journalist who identified himself as Yogesh Soni called up Dhurve to discuss the matter and plead that the school commence this session.

The MP, expressing annoyance, said: "The Prime Minister says to connect with the people, public money will be spent, not from the Prime Minister's fund. He (Modi) got married but didn't set up his household."

The comment has created a stir. While Dhurve could not be reached for reactions, BJP chief spokesman Deepak Vijayvargiya told IANS that all she said on this clip that she had never spoken anything like this and only talked about development.

BJP’s new love for Muslim women is based on an unrealistic fantasy. The party’s fantasy is based on an assumption that Muslim women live in the perennial shadow of instantaneous, unilateral divorce.

The Bharatiya Janata Party energetic campaign to impose a ban on triple talaq is ostensibly an expression of concern born out of love for Muslim women. It is a love that does not wait for requital. It is a love that is a mix of fantasy, suspicion, fear, jealousy, and guilt. It is also a neurosis, which does not require treatment, politically advantageous for the BJP as it is.
Since the prime minister is omniscient, the Muslim woman will indeed fight triple talaq. The question of “if”, therefore, does not arise. In any fantasy, the drama unfolds in accordance with the script of the visualiser. Already the revolution, first witnessed in Uttar Pradesh, has spread to Gujarat, which is to have its Assembly election later this year.

“And if we bring Narmada waters in the month of Shravan, then too they say they dislike it. So what should we do? Do we go and run relief camps? Should we open child-producing centres? We want to firmly implement family planning. Hum paanch, humare pachees [We five, our 25] (laughs)”?-Narendra Modi, in his 2002 election speech in Gujarat.
To identify and give a name to the BJP’s sudden surge of obsession with Muslim women, you will have to recall the attributes of a love about which you might have read or seen or, frighteningly, experienced.
Indeed, the BJP’s love for Muslim women is that of a stalker, who, regardless of reality, will fervently believe he is loved – and will get her vote if he were to ever stand in an election.
Fact is BJP wanted justice to divorced Muslim women. But they don't want to provide justice to Jashodaben Narendrabhai Modi who is living in shadow of security despite her will.

Truly surprised to see the comments.People seem to be more or extremely disturbed by our Prime minister's personal matter. But his efficient successful leadership and administrative capacity. has no effect .When lakhs of crores of rupees siphoned by the UPA did not disturb these people. When our soldiers were chasing and encountering terrorists in Kashmir ,stone pelters tried to prevent and many soldiers were hurt and it did not disturb these guys. And many more.God save our country.

Freedom of speech is under threat in India as can be seen with stifling of sane voices amongst the youth in various universities. Given the freedom, every BJP MPs would speak just the facts about PMs marriage. Why get annoyed?
