Mangaluru: 'Nemoda Boolya' based on Paddana awaits censor nod

Mangaluru, Apr 29: A much-expected Tulu movie, 'Nemoda Boolya', which has been completed in all respects, is now waiting for censor certificate. The film, which is based on Parati-Mangani Paddana, promises to present the Paddana on the silver screen in a convincing manner.

The story of the movie revolves around a woman who loses her husband because of carnal desires of the village leader, Ballal. Driven by determination and grit, the lady takes her revenge in such a way that the Ballal loses everything he had and also breathes his last at the end.

The film is based on a real life story. Dramatist, B K Gangadhar Kirodian, has provided screenplay for the film. It is produced under the banner, 'Kudradi Kuladevata Creations' by Mumbai-based hotellier, Kudradiguthu Chandrashekhar Mada. B K Gangadhar Kirodian has also provided story, screenplay, and direction for the movie. The film has six songs, which has emerged beautifully, having been composed and directed by V Manohar.

The producer of the film says that his only aim in producing this film is to give a good film to Tuluvas and not to compete with anyone. He says that the movie will be released at an appropriate time. Preetam Shetty Kadar has donned the leading role of Mainda in the film, with Pradeepchandra Udupi portraying the role of the villain. Veteran Sandalwood actor, Ramesh Bhat, Mandya Ramesh, V Manohar, Ramesh Kalladka, Raghuram Shetty form the cast of the film.
