Dubai: Thumbay Hospital opens ‘Marhaba Lounge’ to provide personalised patient services

Dubai, May 22: The ‘Marhaba Lounge’ of Thumbay Hospital - Dubai, the leading academic hospital owned and operated by Thumbay Group UAE, was officially inaugurated by Dr Layla Mohamed Al Marzouqi, Director - The Medical Tourism Council, Dubai, UAE on Sunday, May 21.

Akbar Moideen Thumbay, vice-president of the Healthcare Division of Thumbay Group presided over the inaugural function, which was also attended by members of the Thumbay Group Board. With the inauguration of the Marhaba Lounge, the hospital has formally launched Marhaba Service; a range of personalized services for patients. Dr Layla Mohamed Al Marzouqi also launched the new medical tourism packages of the hospital.





Delivering personalized services and minimizing inconveniences, the Marhaba Service fast-tracks patients’ requirements. A patient arriving at the Marhaba Longue would have his/her registration formalities, consultation, examination/diagnosis, procedures, documentation, billing etc. are done on priority, requiring minimal waiting times.

Explaining the reason behind launching the Marhaba Service, Akbar Moideen Thumbay, said, “Marhaba is an exclusive fast-track service that makes your visit to Thumbay Hospital a pleasant experience. It is a result of our continuous efforts to enhance patient experience and minimize inconveniences. Through the service, we ensure faster and smoother services, while making sure that you get the best care, as always. The Marhaba Lounge at the hospital is reserved exclusively for patients who choose to avail the service.”

The Marhaba Service provides fast-track personal assistance including the following: welcome drink, registration, appointments, billing, blood sample collections, medicine procurements, medical reports, sick leave attestation, admission process and follow-up appointments.
