Riyadh: BSMI relish annual family get-together

Riyadh, May 22: Bajpe Surrounding Minorities Ithihaad (BSMI), conducted its annual family get-together on April 27 at Al Rushd Resort, KSA.

The advisor Sayyed Bawa Bankal commenced the programme by welcoming the guestsAbdulazeez Bankal - president BSMI Riyadh, Abdul Hameed Sullia - treasurer DKSC Central Committee, Iqbal Darbar - branch manager Compass Ocean Logistics Riyadh, Santhosh Shetty - president Karavali Welfare Association Riyad, Eliyas Moideen Yermal - vice president DKMO Riyadh, Nazeer Hussain - vice president JF Riyadh, Naushad Bajpe - vice president BAMA Dammam onto the dais.

The programme commenced with prayer and recitation of Quranic verses by Mohiyudeen Zuahiri.



In his inaugural speech, Sayyed Bawa Bankal addressed the audience and disclosed the organisation's activities since its inception.

The chief guest Iqbal Darbar explained the importance of charity and the importance of taking care of the underprivileged by well to do of society. He thanked BSMI for undertaking such tasks and helping the needy back home. Another of the chief guests Santhosh Shetty (MD Kadisa Medical Center) congratulated the entire BSMI team for their hard work and promised complete support for future programmes. Chief guest Naushad Bajpe emphasised on reward for charity to the needy and downtrodden in accordance with the teaching of Islam. The BSMI president thanked all the guests, sponsors, volunteers and supporters for their support toward this event as well as in the past.

Special events like the Islamic and general knowledge quiz added to the enthusiasm of the audience.

A medical camp was organized by Al Kadisa Medical Center Riyadh led by Santhosh Shetty.

A number of games and sports activities which attracted great participation were organized. For the children running race, musical chair, lemon on spoon race, gunny bag race, tug of war were conducted and 30 yard cricket, volleyball, weightlifting, pot breaking kept the adults in great spirits. Sabith Abdullah (general secretary BSMI Riyadh), Asif Bajpe (Deera) and Asif Kanchi Bajpe organised the games.

The MC Donald’s team entertained the children with a few spot games and face paintings. They distributed lots of gifts and free coupons to all the participants and guests.

For the ladies, Islamic and general quiz, tug Of war, pot breaking, balancing the book, lucky baby, bombing the colours, passing the parcel, Hu La Hu and a few spot games were organised by the BSMI ladies team.
