Kundapur: Man receives threat calls from Gulf after negative posts appear in social media

Kundapur, May 24: A bus conductor has complained to police that he has received many threat calls from foreign countries after negative news was circulated against him in social media.

Sachin Devadiga from Kota is the complainant.

Sachin works as a bus conductor. Some unknown people posted in social media that Sachin was harassing minor girls in his bus. It was also alleged that Sachin with his friends mocked at the girls. The negative news was circulated with the photo of Sachin in Facebook and WhatsApp. Even the photo of the bus was posted.

A post in a facebook account asked the people to teach a lesson to Sachin. It also gave his mobile number. After that Sachin started receiving threat calls from many people. Some calls came from foreign lands including Dubai.

“I have not done anything wrong. Some people with hatred have started circulating wrong news against me,” says Sachin in his complaint.

As some calls were made from foreign countries, Sachin says he was disturbed by this and has asked the police to trace the calls.

He has also requested the police to find the culprits who posted the news in social media and to take stern action against them.
