Mangaluru, May 24: The “Youth Empowerment and Sports Department”, National Service Scheme Cell, of the government of Karnataka, has awarded the 2015-16 NSS State Award to Yenepoya University, Mangaluru, in recognition of the meritorious services rendered in the field of NSS.
In a glittering function held at the Banquet Hall of Vidhan Soudha, Bangaluru, Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddharamaiah, presented a shawl, memento and certificate to the Registrar of Yenepoya University, Dr G Shreekumar Menon.
Dr Ashwini S Shetty, NSS coordinator of Yenepoya University has been honoured with ‘Best NSS Programme Officer’ for 2015-16 in recognition of meritorious services rendered in the field of National Service Scheme (NSS).
Dr Ashwini S Shetty was the organizing secretary of ‘National Integration Camp for Youth (NICY)’ held at Yenepoya University campus from May 1 to 7, 2017.
Dr Ashwini S Shetty serves as assistant professor at the department of Anatomy of Yenepoya University.
