Riyadh: Abdul Azeez Bankal elected president of DKMO

Riyadh, May 27: Dakshina Karnataka Muslim Okkoota (DKMO), Riyadh held its annual general body meeting at Ramada Hotel Batha, Riyadh on May 19.

Chief guest Kutbuddin Naikwadi, general secretary, AIMTTA, Bengaluru; Akhter Shaikh, ex-Ameer, NRCC JF; Parvez Ali, advisor, DKMO; Basheer,  NCMS, advisor, DKMO; Abdul Aziz Bankal, president; Fazlur Rahman, general secretary and Abbas Uchil, treasurer were escorted to the dais. Abdul Azeez Bankal presided over the function.

Through the presentation of an annual report and financial report, the DKMO general secretary briefed to the audience about the achievements and future plans of the committee.


    






















Kutbuddin Naikwadi spoke on the strategical insights of an organisation and inspired the audience through his mastery guidance on government benefits.

Other honoured guests applauded the DKMO activities and motivated the members and audience to endeavor to accomplish the plans.

President Abdul Azeez Bankal in his address appreciated and thanked all the members and the committee executives for their support during his tenure.

Considering the positive impetus from public response on ongoing activities, DKMO enthusiastically announced to raise the emergency relief amount to 5000 SAR and the committee assured to continue the loan scheme for needy expatriates in the Kingdom.

Articulating on FRF (Family Relief Fund) scheme, the president assured to support the deceased families of the expatriates with minimum of 3 lac Indian rupees. DKMO is further hoping to support with greater extent in future. So he encouraged all the attendees to get more and more members to join and support DKMO.

As a part of felicitation, DKMO honored Shafi Thodar and Fazlur Rahman for their vital contribution in membership campaign.

The president then dissolved the existing committee and called Haneef Panamboor and Hameed Wenz to conduct the elections. Members were asked to voluntarily join the new committee and lend a hand in carrying out the noble task. An astounding 41 members joined the new committee.

Earlier, the meeting commenced with recitation of Quran by P A Mohiyuddin Zuhri. Abdur Rahiman Sulaiman compered the programme. Abdul Rahiman delivered the vote of thanks.

The meeting was well attended by over 150 members, who represented most of the taluks of south Karnataka. The meeting ended with a sumptuous lunch for all the attendees.
