Bengaluru, Jun 27: A 28-year-old man, who allegedly cheated as many as 40 women he came across on matrimonial sites, has been arrested by Bagalur police on Tuesday.

The man has been identified as Sadat Khan, a resident of Hassan.

The accused was arrested following a complaint from a female professor, who happened to be one of his victims.

According to the police, Khan targeted mainly widows and divorcees on matrimonial sites.

He would introduce himself as a Central government employee and meet with the women for sexual encounters. Finally, he would swindle the women and flee.

But his luck ran out as he was arrested from a lodge in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
