Mangaluru, Jun 29: The city police have registered a case against a youth who followed a girl on his scooter and harassed her publicly.
A young girl from the city was walking from near a college here towards Balmatta when a youth who followed her closely in his Honda Activa two-wheeler, continued to stare at her. At the same time, he was repeatedly blaring his horn. Frustrated at this behaviour, the lady had taken the photograph of the scooter. On the basis of registration number of the vehicle, details of the owner were collected. Details of the incident was posted on Facebook by the lady with a warning to the Eve teaser.
The post was shared over a 1,000 times. Many have come in support of the lady for taking the initiative to teach a lesson to such people. The police who got to know about this incident, under the directions of the city police commissioner, have registered a Suo moto case in women's police station here. It is said that the police have already collected full details of the accused. The vehicle in question reportedly belongs to one Rizwan Ahmed.
