Mangaluru: Adhvithi Shetty stars in Kannada serial 'Eradu Kanasu

Mangaluru Jul 23: Myriad talents have emerged from the coastal region on big screens and small. Futhermore, some young talents have grown strong and fast in the industry, by their sheer hard work, doing us proud.

One such name is the vivacious Adhvithi Shetty, proud daughter of Yathiraj Shetty and Nanda Y Shetty. Adhvithi, who hails from Mangaluru, and is an alumna of St Aloysius College and Manipal Institute of Management, and has tasted enormous success on the big screen.

This time around, the young diva has been involved in a small screen production, a daily soap 'Eradu Kanasu', which is being telecasted on Star Suvarna and has so far garnered a positive response.





'Eradu Kanasu' serial which is directed by Mohena Singh, is about women empowerment . The story revolves around a father who is an auto driver, and his two daughters and the aspirations he has for them. The story dwells on how the father brings up his daughters, and how his dreams become the key driver to the girls' ambitions. Eradu Kanasu serial also illustrates the hurdles faced by the sisters and how they overcome them. The show is filled with compelling social messages and a beautiful wide canvas of emotions.

Nagesh Yadav, plays father’s role. Shilpa Shetty plays the on-screen sister of Adhvithi Shetty. Anjan, Srinath, Chandrika, Pushpa Belawadi and others also play prominent role in the Eradu Kanasu serial.

"I play the character of the younger daughter, who is a doctor by profession. Her nature is portrayed as being calm, composed and helpful, which I could relate to. It was a wonderful learning experience to work with director Mohena Singh,” said Adhvithi.

She also said, "After working in movies, I will now be in serials too. I would like to do movies as well. Acting is my passion and it does not matter if it is a serial or a movie. There will exist no such difference between serials and movies if you are passionate about acting."

Adhvithi Shetty, excited about the audience response, said, “We have received very good response. We have just completed two weeks and have now entered the third, and the response is brilliant so far.  People sent me wishes through social media and approached me about their fondness for the serial."

Speaking about future projects Adhvithi says, "As of now I have not taken up any projects and my Kannada movie Girgitle will be releasing shortly.”

The passionate actress made her debut in the star studded Kannada blockbuster Mr and Mrs Ramachari, and was later was seen in the movie Suli along with her twin sister Ashvithi Shetty and veteran actor Srinath. Adhvithi Shetty was seen in cameo role in Puneeth Raajkumar starrer Doodmane Huduga. Adhvithi also starred in web series titled Bangalore Queen which was viewed by 1,77,527 people in Youtube.
