Mumbai: Akhila Karnataka Jain Sangha holds 20th annual meeting

Mumbai, Aug 7: Akhila Karnataka Jain Sangha held their 20th annual meeting at Santacruz east Pejavar math auditorium on Sunday August 6. President of the Sangha, B Muniraja Ajila chaired the meeting.

Vice president of the Sangha, Udaya Adhikari, honorary joint secretary Manish Hegde, Raghuveer Hegde, joint treasurer Sampathkumar S Jain, working committee members Loknath Jain, Vinanti Jain, Rajendra Hegde, P Vasanth Kailaje, P Yuvaraj Jain, Mahaveer Jain, Padmaraja Hegde were on the dais. Honorary secretary Pavananjay Ballal read the report, explained the activities of the previous year and conducted the meeting. Honorary treasurer P Ananta Raja presented the accounts of the previous year. The president handed over scholarships to talented students of the members and congratulated them.



Sixteen members for the working committee for the period 2017-2019 were elected unopposed in the meeting. B Muniraja Ajila was re-elected as president for the period. Vijayamala Kori and Vikrant Adhikari were elected presidents for women's wing and youth wing respectively.

Women's wing president Kavita S Jain, youth wing president Bharath Jain, sub committee leaders and members were present.

Activist of the Sangha and teachers Sanatkumar Jain, Vani Vaidya, Vatsala Ariga and Chandana U Padiwal spoke on behalf of the audience and expressed their opinions. Pavananjay Ballal acknowledged the services of the women's wing and youth wing for the progress of the Sangha and proposed the vote of thanks.
