M'luru: Yenepoya School children to attend Model United Nations in USA

Mangaluru, Aug 10: A team of six students and their mentor from The Yenepoya School, Jeppina Mogaru, here have been selected to participate in the upcoming Indian International Model United Nations, USA conference.

It will be organised inside the United Nations headquarters, New York, this month.

Shoaib Shiek Mohammed of grade 10, Anjali Maria Augustine, Caroline Castelino, Dhruv K Shah of grade 9 and Ilhan Irfan, Vaishnavi Rao of grade 8 will participate in the conference. They will be accompanied by their teacher and mentor Mercy Rego.

The conference will see students from various parts of India. The itinerary of the students includes three days of MUN conference and an educational trip in the USA where they will be visiting New York, Washington DC and Orlando.

Students will discuss various international affairs and issues and provide novel solutions to them. It is a platform for children to debate on issues of social and economic importance and reach out for solutions.
