Mangaluru: Man on Haj pilgrimage dies at Mecca

Mangaluru, Aug 10: A Haj pilgrim from the city who was on a trip to meet his mandatory religious duty of visiting the holy places, breathed his last at Mecca.

The end of Abdulla, a resident of Bunder here, came on Tuesday August 8 at Arafat Hospital, Mecca. Abdulla was popularly known by the name, 'KEB Abdulla'. After he complained of breathing difficulties, he was admitted into the above hospital on Monday, but did not respond to treatment.

Abdulla had left the city on July 24 on Haj pilgrimage along with wife, Zaibu and son, Salman. The last rites of the deceased were performed at Mecca. Activists of Karnataka Cultural Foundation at Mecca helped the family to perform Abdulla's funeral and last rites there.
