Mangaluru: FMHMC Deralakatte hosts fruitful blood donation awareness camp

Mangaluru, Aug 12: NSS Unit of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College on August 12 in association with blood bank and Youth Red Cross Unit of Father Muller Medical College Hospital organized a blood donation awareness camp at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital, Deralakatte from 9.45 am to 1 pm.

The inaugural function of the same was held at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College auditorium, Deralakatte at 9.45 am. Chief guest for the function was Dr Kirana Pailoor, blood bank officer, Father Muller Medical College Hospital.



BHMS students Anusha and team commenced the event with a prayer song invoking blessings from the almighty.

Dr Revan B L, NSS programme officer Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College welcomed the gathering. Fr Vincent Vinod Saldanha, administrator of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital presided over the inaugural programme. Assistant administrator Fr Sylvester Lobo and Dr Girish Navada, deputy medical superintendent were present during the inaugural programme.

Dignitaries lit the lamp and inaugurated the blood donation camp.

Dr Kirana Pailoor, enlightened the audience with a talk on blood and its components. He motivated the gathering to voluntarily donate blood. Staff, PGs, interns and students of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College were present on the occasion. Dr Shivaprasad, Principal, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College gave message on blood donation. NSS volunteer Sanghavi, final BHMS student delivered the vote of thanks.

Adlin, intern and NSS volunteer was the emcee for the event.

28 people donated blood at the event.
