Kundapur: 18-year-old student dies of heart attack during I-Day celebrations in college

Kundapur, Aug 15: In a tragic incident, a youngster passed away due to heart attack during Independence Day celebrations at his college here on Tuesday August 15.

The deceased has been identified as Amit (18), a first-year BCom student of BB Hegde College here.

Amit was watching the Independence Day celebrations in his college when he suddenly started experiencing chest pain. He then rested for a while in the college, but when the pain aggravated, he was admitted to a local private hospital.

However, he failed to respond to treatment and passed away.

It is learnt that Amit had been suffering from heart-related problems. He had written supplementary exams and joined the college just eight days ago.

Sources said that Amit's parents reside in Mumbai.

Chairman of BB College Sukumar Shetty expressed his condolences on Amit's untimely demise.
