Udupi: Dodgeball tournament organised at St Lawrence Church Moodubelle

Udupi, Aug 16: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) unit of St Lawrence Church Moodubelle organised a Dodgeball tournament for its parishioners on August 13.

The tournament was inaugurated by Fr Clement Mascarenhas.

John Baptist-1 and St Peter-2 wards bagged the first and second places respectively in the men’s’ category, while St Anna-2 and St Joseph wards won the first and second places respectively in the women’s category.

There was good competition among the teams. As many as 16 men’s teams and 14 women’s teams took part in the competition.



Physical education teachers Valerian, Nithin, Bharath, and Raviraj were present as referee for all the matches. Fr Lawrence and Prasanna handled the commentary.

Fr Lawrence, assistant parish priest and ICYM director Moodubelle and Udupi deanery; Vincent Fernandes, vice-president of Moodubelle parish; Latha D'Mello, secretary of Moodubelle parish; Vinod D’Souza, president of ICYM Moodubelle; and Seema D’Souza, secretary of ICYM Moodubelle were present.

Jezel compered the programme. Nathasha Nazareth delivered the vote of thanks.
