China, Nepal should enhance cooperation in traditional medicine: Wang

Kathmandu, Aug 16 (IANS): Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang on Wednesday called on China and Nepal to step up cooperation in research and application of traditional medicine.

Wang made the remarks while touring a China-sponsored traditional Nepali medical research training centre here during his visit to the Himalayan nation.

Traditional medicine in both China and Nepal enjoys a long history, Xinhua news agency quoted Wang as saying.

China is ready to strengthen its support for Nepal's medical and health services so that Nepali people can benefit from the practical cooperation with China, he said.

Wang on Tuesday met Nepali Deputy Prime Minister Bijay Kumar Gachhadar. The two agreed to make joint efforts to further advance pragmatic cooperation between the two countries.
