Mangaluru: Miscreants tear banners of Tulunada Rakshana Vedike

Mangaluru, Sep 18: Miscreants tore banners hung near the office of Tulunada Rakshna Vedike here and attempted to break open its shutter Monday September 18.

Mangaluru Vidhan Sabha constituency office of Tulunada Rakshana Vedike is functioning at Tokkottu junction. Two large banners were hung on the compound wall of the office. Miscreants tore one of the banners and took it away. Another banner was partially damaged.

Tulunada Rakshana Vedike has raised its voice against several social evils and in favour of the weak. It had conducted a campaign against ganja peddling that is rampant in Ullal. Siraj Adkare, leader of the Vedike alleged that miscreants have indulged in the act to discourage such campaigns.
