Mangaluru, Sep 19: Through a notification, the state government has appointed V J Sajeeth as the new additional superintendent of police for Dakshina Kannada district. He is currently functioning as superintendent of police in the central office of the AIGP at Bengaluru. Umaprashanth has been appointed as assistant commissioner in crime and traffic division of the city police commissionerate here.

Sajeeth will occupy the spot vacated by the transfer of Vishnuvardhan, who was additional superintendent of police. Umaprashanth is coming in place of assistant police commissioner (crime and traffic) of the commissionerate here, Hanumantharaya. Umaprashanth is currently functioning as superintendent of police, Anti Corruption Bureau, Bangaluru.
