Mangaluru: Srinivas Institute of Technology holds ‘Car Servicing Camp’

Mangaluru, Sep 20: Department of Automobile Engineering of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, organized a day-long workshop “Car Servicing Camp – 17’, for students on September 15 at an automobile workshop. K Nagesh, proprietor, Deepak Automobile, Mangaluru, was the chief guest and resource person for the workshop.

Speaking on the occasion, Nagesh explained types of services and how to conduct these services. Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, the principal of the college who presided over the function, explained the importance and benefits of the workshop. Dr Ramakrishna N Hegde, HOD, Automobile Engineering, in his speech, advised the students to take part in the technical activities, so that they can get practical knowledge.

Akshay V, welcomed the gathering. Mohith Madhaw, introduced the chief guest and Jacky Christon, student coordinator delivered the vote of thanks. Ganesh T compered the programme.

The workshop was coordinated by Jerome Anthony, faculty advisor and organized by Amit Kumar H, and Varun Narayan, assistant professors of the Automobile Department.

More than 65 students actively participated in the workshop and more than 12 cars were serviced. The workshop helped students to understand the basic things involved in general service, four wheel brake service, oil change, and body water service.

The workshop was successfully completed with the support of faculties of Automobile Department, HOD, principal and management.
