Mangaluru: VJ Megha Shetty to play lead role in Chethan Mundadi’s bilingual

Mangaluru, Sep 28: Well-known TV anchor Megha Shetty will play the lead role in national award winning film director Chethan Mundadi’s next directorial venture. The film will be a love story and will have Pruthvi Ambar playing the male lead.

Ranjani Raghavan was earlier cast as the female lead in the Tulu-Kannada bilingual. The ‘Putta Gowri’ fame actress had to drop the project citing date issues.

The film will see Megha playing the role of a Brahmin girl who falls in love with a boy from a lower caste.

Chethan’s ‘Madipu’ had earlier won him a national award as well as a state award.
