Mangaluru, Oct 20: Senior journalist Jayanth Padubidri passed away on Friday, October 20. He was suffering from health ailments since a while.

Jayanth Padubidiri (58), who started his career with 'Udayavani', later worked for 'Jana Vahini' and 'Jaya Kirana' newspapers. He was a well known writer and a coloumist.

He was spearheading the campaign against Angel Hard Factory and Cogentrics Company for their shut down.

He had a keen interest in Tulu language, culture, science and was known for his creative writings.

Jayanth was a bachelor.

Funeral rites will be held on October 20.
