Mangaluru: Mother Theresa ward, Paldane celebrates anniversary

Mangaluru, Nov 7: The anniversary of Mother Theresa ward, St Theresa Church, Paldane was celebrated at the residence of Valerian Braggs and Nisha Braggs, residents of the ward on November 5. Incidentally the couple also celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary the same day.

Editor of 'Sevak' Konkani magazine Fr Derick Fernandes, who arrived as chief guest said that such celebrations help us strengthen our unity. Another distinguished guest Bhasker the local corporator conveyed his best wishes.

Parish priest Fr Vincent Victor Menezes expressed his pride for the ward. Couple Harold Pinto and Juliana Pinto who have completed fifty years of married life were felicitated with a shawl draped on them.



Judicial vicar of the diocese, Fr Walter D' Mello, parish pastoral council vice president Roshan Lasrado, secretary Veena Lobo, ward representatives Sunitha Fernandes, Pascal Monteiro and Melcolm Noronha were present.

Ward leader Edward Pereira welcomed everyone. Leaders of other wards of the parish were also present. Joe Rego compered the programme.
