Mumbai, Nov 29: Central zone committee of Rajaka Sangha recently celebrated Central da Rajakotsava at Vikroli east here. Chandrashekar Palethady and Thane corporation mayor Meenakshi Shinde lit the traditional lamp and set the celebrations in motion.

Rajaka Sangha Mumbai president Sathish S Salian chaired the celebrations. Thia Samaja Mumbai president Chandrashekar R Belchada was the chief guest. Vikroli Kannada Sangha president Shamsunder Shetty, secretary Udaya L Shetty and entrepreneurs Manish Sethi present as guests of honour conveyed their best wishes. Meenakshi Shinde, Chandrashekar Palethady and Kusuma Chandrashekar Palethady couple were felicitated.

Chief sponsors Harish Salian, Prabhaker Salian, Dinesh Kunder, Raju Salian were honored with mementos and shawls. Former president of the sangha, P M Salian, L K Kunder, P Krishna and activists who served the sangha and families of those members who are no more were honoured.

Members and children presented a cultural programme. Youth wing members performed Mumbai ka ek nazar programme. 'Ereg Erla Ijji' tulu social drama written and directed by Prabhaker Salian was enacted with help from assistant director Divya Putran, dance composer Nisha Gujaran and Sparsh Salian who provided sound and lighting.

Rajaka Sangha Mumbai vice president Dasu C Salian, joint treasurer CA Vijay Kunder, Subhash Salian, working committee members Sumitha D Salian, Shashank Salian, Bhasker Kunder, Prakash K Gujaran, central zone committee vice president Chandrashekar Salian, women's executive president Shanti R Salian and other office bearers, several members and Rajaka community members were present.

Pooja Salian welcomed everyone. Central zone committee executive president Rathnaker S Sunder delivered the keynote address. Sarojini Kunder, Sheela Salian, Jyothi Salian, Santhi Salian and Sreesh Salian introduced the guests. Mallika Salian compered the programme. Divya Putran proposed the vote of thanks.
