Mangaluru: St Agnes College holds annual sports day

Mangaluru, Dec 9: St Agnes College (Autonomous) organised annual sports day on December 6.

Mayor Kavitha Sanil, Mangaluru City Corporation was the chief guest. Sr Dr M Jeswina, principal presided over the function. Vice-principal, Sr Dr Venissa, PTA vice-president, Neena Sameer and PG co-ordinator, Dr Noeline J Pinto, physical education directress, Vasudha S, PTA members and all the staff and students graced the occasion.

Chief guest Kavitha Sanil declared the sport meet open and motivated the students to grab all the opportunities offered to them. She also highlighted the importance of physical fitness.

Various Track and field events were conducted for the UG and PG students. Tug of War for students and staff of UG and PG was also conducted. Nazlin of II BCom and Athena Maria Aranha, II MSc (Psychology) compered the programme. Sheryl Preethika delivered the vote of thanks.

The valedictory commenced at 3:30 pm. Dr Maria G Lobo, HOD of Botany was the chief guest. All the winners and runners of the marching teams were honoured with certificates and prizes. M Vasudha S rendered the vote of thanks.
