Now, ‘Afzal ka yaar’ posters target Rahul Gandhi in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Dec 11 (Zee News): With the last phase of polling remaining in Gujarat Assembly elections, both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seem to be leaving no stone unturned to ensure their victory. The campaigning for the polls has witnessed several exchanges of jibes and allegations, and an equal share of controversies.

The latest in the list of controversies is a poster of Rahul Gandhi with Salman Nizami, who BJP claims is a member of the Congress party.

The poster carries a photograph of the Congress vice president with Nizami and the text on it says – “Afzal (Guru) ka jo yaar hai, woh desh ka gaddaar hai” (a friend of Afzal Guru is a traitor). It further claims that the photograph was taken when Nizami was campaigning for the Congress party in Gujarat.

The posters, which have been put up in Ahmedabad, have been attributed to one Sardar Patel Ekta Manch.

A tweet of Nizami is also printed on the poster, in which he has openly supported Parliament attack mastermind Afzal Guru.

Earlier on Saturday, Nizami had tweeted: "Rahul Gandhi, son of Rajiv Gandhi. Sacrificed his life for India. Rahul Gandhi, grandson of Indira Gandhi. Sacrificed her life for India. Rahul Gandhi, grandson of Jawaharlal Nehru, fought for India`s independence. Narendra Modi, son of ...? Grandson of ...?"

However, the Congress party has said that they don`t have a leader or worker named Nizami.

Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah have used the name of Salman Nizami and his origin from Kashmir at their rallies to attack the Congress party.

Claiming that the Congress has deployed Nizami to campaign in Gujarat, Shah had said that "Nizami believes in freedom of Kashmir and has made statements that Afzals (Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru) would be born in every home of the state."

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had targeted him saying that the “youth leader” had tweeted about him, asking who his father and mother were. The PM had said, “Such languages can’t be used even for enemies”.

This shows how desparate and nervous bjp is. they dont know that they are lying. They dont know that Rahul Gandhi did not ever visit Pakistan and it was Modi who visited Pak (just like bin bulaye mahman) and tasted their food. BJP shut its mouth when Modi visited pak and now blaming Rahul for thinking of pak in his mind. Dear bjp leaders, please be human first. You cant fool us all the time. Its ok we were fooled before. Now we know what is your game plan. You are the real trouble makers. You create the mischief and blame others.

As the notorious Nazi propagandist, Joseph Goebbels, had once said so infamously, "The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over."

At a time when the government has cracked down on the JNU, the BJP’s own ally in Jammu and Kashmir, the PDP still holds a view that Afzal Guru’s hanging was “a travesty of justice.”

It is the same saffron brotherhood that ruled Jammu and Kashmir with Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, an ardent supporter of the now-much-condemned Afzal Guru. Remember how the late Mufti just ignored the mewling of his coalition partner and released the jailed separatist, Masarat Alam, against the opposition of the Kashmiri Pandits, who had been most vocal in their support to the BJP? These very same pseudo-nationalists were delighted to have Sajjad Lone, another lifelong separatist, on board an opportunist coalition, and sat with their hands beneath their legs in the midst of all the brazen anti-India public demonstrations by Kashmiri separatist groups when they were in bed with the late Mufti.
    1. Can BJP charge PDP with sedition for celebrating Afzal Guru?
    2. What about those eleven 'Yaari's ' caught in Madhya Pradesh espionage passing sensitive information to the Pakistani ISI?
    3. What about BJP alliance with MDMK founder Vaiko the only parliamentarian jailed under terror charges for openly supporting LTTE?

The discourse has gotten so rotten that millions of those who voted for it are disappointed and disillusioned by the BJP's rotten propaganda. It is only the hard core ones who are beyond redemption, who support such nonsense. Development has been forgotten and it is lies, lies and more lies from all sides led by the PM himself. A very sad situation really. A person who is supposed to be a leader and unifier is stooping to such low levels.

Where we are heading into? Earlier elections were fought on the basis of developments. Opposition used to point government failures and government used to point their achievements.
Now development or Major such issues are being hidden and personal attacks are being adopted.

Votes are asked based on sympathy, Religion and stooping into low levels.

When our people will chose a leader who maintain dignity of his position and concentrate on major issues of country.

As a die heart fan of Vajpayee according to me Rahul Gandhi is shows much more maturity than Mr.Modi . I have no example of him made personal attack on PM also he took Action on Mr.Mani.

Hope my childhood days are back with Great leaders of that times.

    Yes you are right,
This is BJPs dirtiest political game in Indian history. They are willing to go any neech level to gain political power. Since most of the Gujjus are illiterate they believe what he says.
Even though they are rich but not literate. People have eyes but can't see, People have tang but can't talk. People can hear but they act like deaf

PM Modi and the BJP are extremely desperate to project the Congress as a pro Pakistan and pro Muslim party just for polarizing Gujarati Hindu votes though a high majority of the Congress members are themselves Hindus. Really stupid.

Highly shameful the way BJP are selling religious sentiments to Hindu voters even using fabricated lies to fulfil their own political lust.
