Mumbai University Kannada department holds national symposium

Mumbai, Dec 16: The Kannada department of Mumbai university on Friday morning December 15 held a national symposium at Santacruz east, Kalina campus.

Dr G N Upadya, head of the department of Kannada led the programme. Senior author and scientist Dr Vyasarao Ninjoor inaugurated the programme. K Nagaraj, director of Karnataka department of culture, Haveri was present as chief guest. Well known researcher Dr Krishna Kolara Kulkarni, Galaganath, Rajapurohita Prathistana Haveri president Professor Dushyanth Nadagowda, author Mamatha Mallara and Mumbai University Kannada department assistant professor Dr Porrnima S Shetty presented their concepts.



Senior author Dr S K Bhavani, Dr Sunitha M Shetty, Dr Mamatha Rao, Dr K Raghunath, Sujatha S Devadiga, Mohan Marnad, K Govinda Bhat, Sharada Ambesange, G V Hegde, Roopa B Sangoli, Shailaja Hegde, Dr Shamala Prakash, Kirana V Kulkarni, advoate Vasantha Kalakoti, Rathnaker R Shetty, Y B Madhusoodan Rao, Dr Dakshayani Yadavalli, Yajnanarayana K Suvarna, Surekha S Devadiga, Anitha P Poojary Takode, Hema Sadananand and others congratulated the awardees of the occasion.

Shamala Prakash Shamala sang a poem. Dr Poornima S Shetty of the department of Kannada welcomed and compered the programme. S Devayya proposed the vote of thanks.
