Mangaluru, Jan 20: Slamming Congress spokesperson A C Vinayraj, BJP spokesperson Harikrishna Bantwal said that he has no moral right to speak about Billawa community on the banner issue.

Addressing media here on Saturday, January 20, Harikrishna Bantwal said, "Vinayraj said that I am playing cheap politics over the banner issue. When Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited Bantwal to inaugurate KSRTC bus stand, Mini Vidhana Soudha and other development works, banners were put up by the Congress along with the image of Narayana Guru.”

“A C Vinayraj is good in creating forged documents, but the BJP does not do any kind of cheap politics. Vinayraj is the one who vandalised the Income Tax office at Attavar when IT officials raided the residence of minister D K Shivakumar. The one who picks up stones and vandalises public property has no moral right to talk about BJP. He is speaking only to satisfy Ramanath Rai. It is impossible for him to make Ramanath Rai gain an upper hand in the forthcoming elections,” he said.

“We had clarified about using the images of Koti-Chennaya and we never insulted the Billawa community. Was using the image of Narayana Guru in a banner not an insult?” he questioned.

“Who is Vinayraj to speak about Billawa community? If the Billawa community is insulted, Congress leaders should speak on it. Release the documents which show that KPCC has entrusted any post to Billawa community member except one post. Congress are the one who restricted Janardhana Poojary from entering the Congress office and also hurt Poojary which made him shed tears, he added.
