Kundapur: Mumbai-based hotelier killed in two-wheeler accident

Kundapur, Feb 19: In an accident that happened in Chakkarabettu, Mavinakatte in Vandaru village in the taluk on Saturday, February 17, the rider of a motor bike lost his life, while the pillion rider was seriously injured after the motor bike, in which they were travelling was hit by a car.

The deceased is Bhojaraj Hegde (62), a hotelier based in Mumbai. His wife, Susheela, survived with grieveous injuries. She is admitted to a hospital.

A car driven by a person named Narayana Shetty, which was moving towards Mandarti from the direction of Goliyangady at high speed, collided with the motor bike driven by Hegde head on.

It is gathered that Hegde had come to his native place about ten days back and was supposed to return to Mumbai on Sunday February 18.

A case relating to this accident is registered in Shankarnarayana police station.
