Hubballi Palike member fires pistol in air after garlanding Shivaji statue


Hubballi, Feb 19 (DHNS): Manjunath Kadam, the Congress-nominated member of the Hubballi- Dharwad Mahanagara Palike, fired two rounds into the air from a pistol, after garlanding a statue of the Maratha king Shivaji, on Monday.

Kadam and others who garlanded the statue to mark the warrior king's birthday (Jayanti) at the Shivaji Circle here, accepted a pistol handed over to him by an associate and fired two rounds into the air shouting "Shivaji Maharaj ki jai". A sword is also seen in the hands of another person standing next to Kadam.

This incident took place in Sharahara police limits.

No complaint has been filed yet police said.

    If the said person happens to be from BJP party, they would've defended him saying the PISTOL in question was actually manufactured during Congress rule and they're responsible for it !!!! All the paid media would highlight in 72 font size with bold writing, Why and how did the pistol got manufactured during Congress rule !!

    @Hussain, Abu Dhabi : The blame games are going on now. Mr. Mallya, Nirav Modi was sanctioned loan and the scam happened during UPA time. But Conress team is defending themselves and asking modi how can you allow them to fly. Infact the Scam came into limelight now.

    Karnatak is not UP, Gujarat or Madya Pradesh. Do not compare Karnataka with jungle raj which is I mentioned UP, MP, or Gujarat. If you think that Karnataka is jungle raj then you are free to leave Karnatak and join UP, MP etc....
