Kundapur, Feb 21: “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not fulfilled any promises made by him during last Lok sabha elections. But chief minister Siddaramaiah has fulfilled 159 promises out of 169 announced in the election manifesto. Besides this, ambitious programmes that are not in the manifesto such as Matrapoorna and Indira Canteens are implemented by him for the poor’s welfare,” said AICC in-charge Vishnunathan.

“Price of petrol has risen every day since BJP came to power in the centre. Youth who are unable secure jobs are trying to sell Pakodas. The prime minister is helping those like Nirav Modi who have cheated banks of several crores of rupees. Congress has conducted all the systematic preparations for the success in the next elections. As many as 53,000 booth committees of the party in the state have been organized. Booth level party unity is essential for success. All should work to make Congress win in Kundapur,” he said.

Congress state backward class president Manigopala said, “Haladi Srinivasa Shetty has insulted the electorate in Kundapur by resigning twice before completion of the term. People should decide if they need an MLA who resigns every now and then.”
