Udupi, Feb 21: National BJP president Amit Shah on Wednesday February 21 inaugurated two separate conventions at Ammanni Ramanna Auditorium here.

Amit Shah first inaugurated a social media conclave and then a convention of party leaders and representatives of five district Navashakti Kendras. The five districts were Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru.

He also launched the official website of district BJP - www.bjpudupi.org.

"It is our duty to win and bring BJP to power everywhere in India. It is important to strengthen the party at the booth level. People of all communities have have gathered here for empowering the party and making it stronger," Amit Shah told the gathering.

He instructed all the party workers to conduct a one-day campaign in every Navashakti Kendra before March 3. The leaders of all Shakti Kendras of the five districts were told to submit a report too. "The BJP workers should work hard to ensure that BJP remains in power for more than 50 years. I am like a leech, I will not let anyone rest for two months till we get good results in the upcoming elections," he told the party workers.

Expressing disappoinment with BJP leaders in Karnataka, especially state president B S Yeddyurappa, Amit Shah said, "I had assigned 23 formulae to Karnataka BJP president (Yeddyurappa) to execute, but the task is not yet completed. Hence I personally came to take charge of the constituencies of Karnataka. Should I go one step down to reach people?

"The head of a Shakti Kendra is the party president, he has the responsibility of making the party workers even more active. It is not enough to just shout ‘Bharath Mata Ki Jai’. You should work hard," he chided.

"Victory will be ours only if the party members work hard. What others do is not important, what is important is what we are doing to expand the party. BJP workers should have that vision.

"It is important that BJP wins in Karnataka to eradicate poverty and to bring social reforms and changes," he added.

"BJP is working hard and putting in sincere efforts. The schemes introduced by the union government have become popular, so there is no doubt about our victory in the Assembly elections.

"Earlier, BJP had only 1.03% of the vote share in Manipur state, but now it has risen to 39%. In Uttar Pradesh BJP has 86% of the vote share. There is a possibility in Karnataka too of increasing BJP's share of the votes," he added.

State BJP president Yeddyurappa addressing the Navashakti Kendra Convention said, "BJP was initially ruling six states, now it has spread its wings to 19 States and is now ready to occupy 22 states including Karnataka. Even during the tenure of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the Congress did not rule in more than 22 states.

"By the time it fell from power, the UPA government had emptied the central treasury. After three-and-a-half years under the BJP at the centre, now the country is growing economically. We have brought about lot of developments in roads, national highways, and betterment of farmers’ condition. The BJP is focusing more on development and improving agriculture in the nation. The state government can call any of the national Congress leaders to campaign for elections, but it will not make any difference to the BJP. The current state government is the most corrupt. Most of the Congress MLAs have corrupt backgrounds. Our party collecting the required documents to expose their scandals. We will expose the Congress scandals one by one in the days to come," Yeddyurappa said.

Mattaru Ratnakar Hegde, district BJP president welcomed the gathering.

BJP leaders namely Chikkamagaluru MLA C T Ravi, Kuylady Suresh Nayak, secretary, district BJP, Uday Kumar Shetty, former district in-charge of Mangaluru, Jayaprakash Hegde, former MP, Dinakar Babu, president, zilla panchayat, Udupi, MLC Kota Srinivas Poojary, MLA Karkala Sunil Kumar, Raghupati Bhat, former MLA and others were present.

Udupi: B S Yeddyurappa takes a dig at Rahul, calls him 'baccha'

President of BJP of Karnataka state B S Yeddyurappa mocked at AICC president Rahul Gandhi and called him 'Baccha' on Wednesday, February 21.

He said that BJP will grab more than 150 seats in the coming assembly elections.

B S Yeddyurappa was speaking at a social media enclave here and said, "We are now sure of winning more than 150 seats, after the arrival of that kid (Baccha) in Karnataka."

He also alleged that Congress party is least bothered about the pathetic conditions in which the people of slums are living in Karnataka.

"Congress party is not taking any constructive steps to weed out poverty in the state. It is really sad that people are living in slums even after our country has completed seven decades after gaining independence from the British. This shows how concerned is the age-old party in taking care of the slum dwellers. BJP really wants to help the poor slum dwellers and this is not an election artifice," Yeddyurappa added.

Heated debates and accusations are going on between Congress and BJP, the two major political parties of Karnataka state. Elections for the assembly will be held in the month of April-May this year for all the 224 constituencies

A war of words and verbal attack is going on between Congress and BJP in the view of upcoming assembly elections in the state. The legislative assembly election in Karnataka will be held in April-May this year to elect members for all the 224 constituencies in the state.

Presently Siddaramaiah led Congress party is in power in the state for the last five years.

If he was so popular and a winning candidate why does the whole BJP cadre camp in Karnataka?
All the top ruling national leaders have stopped working and have camped in Karnataka.
It only shows their fear, uncertainty and desperation.

As of now he is a king of this country. Just see the way he talks, the way he sits. Literally this country need a person like him to lead. We are proud to have a president like him for a ruling party. India will definitely become a super power in next four to five years if this Government continues for another 5 years.

There are no takers for your 23 formula in Karnataka. Don't blame Yeddy, he is simply trying stay out of jail hanging on to politics. Look at the recent developments in Karnataka in general and DK in particular. Your formula must be corrupted. It will work in UP, but not in Karnataka. No wonder 85% votes for BJP in UP. Reminds me of Saddam Hussain's election. Freedom is more powerful than dictatorship.

Further Eshwarappa has openly told BJp workers to lie about the achievements of BJp to get votes. May be Amith shaH also heard him.saying so.

Hence I personally came to take charge of the constituencies of Karnataka. Should I go one step down to reach people?" Unquote. It is quite sure now that there will be 23 CHADDIS get killed by CHADDI GOONS. That is the only TASK, DAKU want to execute in undivided DK in particular Karnataka in general to blame the SIDDU government that Hindus are killed by Muslims and Siddu's Congress government is with the minority people!!!! WAH DAKU WAH!!!!!! Kya dimaag paya hai, Magar Kannadigas are not UP's Bhaiyas where you got 86 % vote share!!! and most importantly DK Police are so Vigilantes nowadays that, they are CRACKING the murder cases in and around Mangalore within 24 hours so that CHADDI GOONS have no battery to execute DAKU'S formula. But if you give Kannadigas the FORMULA of your son Jay, the Future DAKU, of Rs. 50 thousand to 80 crores, certainly every Kannadigas will accept it in a Grateful Heart!!!!

We lost party spirit after BP in state. As an electorate watched each and every movements of past BJP and Cong till today. Is any BJP leader assure us a stable governance led by single CM for five years? Who gives guarantee of non corrupt administration ? What damage control action taken after mines loot by GALI JAARU and V sign YADDI ? It's my personal opinion, Delhi need MODI, Bangalore is best with SIDDU.
